Longtime Fox & Friends political TV host Steven Doocy was teary when he announced he was cutting back and will only be seen on the hit morning show remotely three days a week.

The 68-year-old told fans: “After decades of getting up at 3:30 and driving into NYC in the dark, today is the last day I will host the show … from the couch. I am not retiring, I’m not leaving the show. I’m still a host — but it’s time for a change.”

Hilarious comic Ruth Buzzi died at 88 from Alzheimer’s complications May 1 at her Fort Worth, Texas, home following a series of strokes. The veteran funnygal was most famous for her role as homely spinster Gladys Ormphby, who would attack people by clobbering them with her purse — first on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In from 1968 to 1973 and later on celebrity roasts.

Besides appearing on Broadway and in sitcoms, she also guested on Sesame Street.

Screen Romeo Richard Gere is being wooed to star in a sequel to the iconic 1990 rom-com Pretty Woman, but the 75-year-old says he’ll only do it if the script is terrific.

In the original, Gere played a wealthy businessman who hires — and then falls in love with a young woman played by Julia Roberts. The hit romance rocketed Roberts to superstardom.
