Anthony Scaramucci Speaks Out About Betrayal By Former FTX Crypto Partner Sam Bankman-Fried
Anthony Scaramucci got fired from his position as President Donald Trump’s White House communications director after just 11 days in 2017 — but that wasn’t his worst day.
He says his biggest disappointment came when he learned partner Sam Bankman-Fried, the cryptocurrency crook, “was exposed as a fraud.” He became partners with Bankman-Fried in 2021 and claims to have lost a large amount of his $10 million investment when the fraudster’s FTX cryptocurrency exchange failed.
Bankman-Fried’s now counting his crypto behind bars for the next 25 years.
Scaramucci says learning his friend was a swindler “was a blow to me because I trusted the guy. I liked him.”
As for getting fired by the White House, he says that’s just politics.
