Busy Kate Mara has had three films released in 2025 — The Astronaut, The Dutchman and Friendship, which she calls the “first real comedy” she’s ever appeared in. The deadpan production about male bonding gone awry also stars Paul Rudd and Tim Robinson.

1. Kate is a great-granddaughter of both New York Giants founder Tim Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr.

2. She has 22 aunts and uncles and more than 40 cousins.

3. Her hair is naturally auburn.

4. She began acting at the age of 9 in a school musical.

5. Her first professional audition was a failed bid for a part on the NBC police drama Homicide: Life on the Street.

6. She shares a son and daughter with husband Jamie Bell, her costar in Fantastic Four, and is stepmother to his boy with ex-wife Evan Rachel Wood.
