I think it's great that Katie is going to marry this younger man.. men do this daily, and never once r they question... I don't think she should ask anyone permission to love again..

We forget we live in the "new world" that establishes new trends and it shows that slowly it's becoming no longer a male dominated society. I would be very happy for Katie to be happy. After having both her husband and her sister die of cancer, I think she deserves some happiness coming her way. She has taken her time and I think we should support any choice she makes. It's her life, not ours! Chronological age is not important, just maturity and compatibility. I'm all for it! Katie Couric deserves to be happy. She got dealt a really crappy hand when she lost her husband so young and had to raise the two girls alone. Now that she has a really hot guy who hopefully loves her, I pray she gets all the happiness she deserves.....

Katie is the ultimate cougar. Her news program may be suffering in the ratings, but it sounds like she's heating things up in her personal life. Her daughters seem happy with it, too. Good for her.
It's her life, but I'm also 52 and I find it discusting to be with someone 17 years younger! He's young enough to be her son! I know men date younger women all the time too, which to me is equally sick!
