Laura is a nice lady. If they divorce, so what. Everyone else is divorcing. My parents split after 50 years of marriage. we live in a strange world. Sadly anything goes and younger generation has no role models. More material possessions will not make us happy. People are more important. I think society is gone crazy. God help us...

If they do divorce, it will give Condalizza Rice added reasons to refer to Bush as her "husband" as she did at a Washington formal dinner speech, then quickly corrected herself and said "President Bush." Did she let the cat out of the bag too soon? Time will tell. Only Laura knows why she (Laura) moved out of the White House, to a hotel. She is too good for him.

W has never been fair, never been honest with himself and never been able to judge well about anything. No wonder, with all his drinking and embarrassing and shocking moments. He deserves what he gets. Look at what he did to this country. He's a mess of a man.

It seems pretty evident that Bush has been back on the sauce for a long time. When he was a drop dead alcoholic Laura said she would divorce him if he did not stop drinking and if he ever started again. Obviously Curious George preferred the bottle to his marriage to Laura. Thank God he and his motley crew will soon be gone from the White House. Hopefully we don't see McCain in there serving Bush's third term or we will be in even more trouble than we are now.

As bad as things have turned out in this country under G.W.. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better if Obama gets in. People are gunna be losing their hmes left and right paying all those extra taxes to fund that "free" healthcare.

Rich, wake the f**k up. What Obama is coming into has taken Bush eight years to tear down. Anybody can destroy something, but it takes leadership to build. Building takes longer than tearing down. Obama is taking over our country when it is the weakest it has been in my lifetime (67 years). Rather than putting him down right off let's give him an opportunity to see if he can build or if he will remain on the same low level our nation has become to accept. I, too, have some mixed feelings when looking at the number of members of the CFR he has named to him cabinet, but to stay on the mantra of taxes and healthcare is pretty bleak in view of what needs to actually be done. In case you have failed to see it, we have had our Democracy taken from us. We are on the cusp of becoming nothing more than a third world country. Criminality runs rampant on all levels of our government. Our banking system is robbing us blind. We are in a state of bankruptcy, morally if not economically. Besides, that was not what this article was about. You simply had to take a cheap shot at Obama for something he has not yet done.

I am a British citizen now living in Canada. I have a life interest in US recent history with the US Presidency at the top of that interest. Like so many, good and decent American citizens whose international reputation has been irrecvocally tarnished by this Administration, I was baffled that, despite a well educated and effective communications team behind him, this `president` was still able to make so many verbal gaffs. I did suspect that Bush was also drinking again. I also tghought that, upon first seeing this story, that it was a spoof as I have not heard anything about this on any of the major newtowrks (like CNN) or major media outlets. Maybe this is a spoof, I don`t know. However, my point is this. How could a great man like Colin Powel be side stepped as the US emarked on armagedon with refeence to the Iraq invasion and occupation? Mnay people forgett that the real driving force behind this mainly unilateral action was not G W Bush, but the most powerful and, to a degree, first shadow president in US history, none other than Richard Cheney. The inivisible people behind this abismal administration, all the ultra right wing members of the hard core Republicans (Wolferwich spelt incorrectly, Cheney, Rumsfeld and so on)were, in my opinion, the key figures driving, in effect, major US foreign policy decisions. If this story is true and not a bluff, this perhaps explains the goods that the above named people had the `president` to effectively black mail him and to avoid the great men like Powel. I also feel Miss Rice was also side stepped to some degree. Whilst some credit should be given to Bush for hi work in Africa, there is no doubt in my mind, that this outgoing Administration has been the most shamefull in recent US history. Further, it is my view that people like Mr Cheney should now be residing in a prsion cell. I wish the good people of the United States well for January 20th. The President Elect certainly has his work cut out for him as he enters the Oval Office. Garry Harriman, labrador, Canada

I am bushed. This man is his right wing republican criminals should be at the least be put behind bars. I am a vietnam veteran and fear for the men and woman serving in Iraq. They are stuck in a situation never before confronted. They had to obsy their commander in chief but also had to answer to there conscious.Bush will go to his grave with blood on his hands. So will the rest of them. He broght the US to it's knees world wide. He disgraced us all. He let us down. The world hates us for good reason. How can we preach democracy when we show the world what failures we really are. We are just over 200 years old. The world is over thousands of year old. Who are we to change there ideals and there history. It sounds like a very distorted situation. We better learn from vietnam and Iraq that we can not interfer with other countries and their governments when ours from congress to judicial to the president are corrupt. Please learn to walk to talk.I will consider leaving the USA if this jackass system doesn't change very soon. Good Luck America.
