So, what else is new!

After reading this article, I thought that I should bring it to your attention that you are distroying the youth of America, and the future of the world by telling them that 200 lbs os 'fat' yes it may be over weight, but Oprah is not 'fat'. Did you know that 40% of teenagers have inflicted self-injury? Or that 1 out of 5 teenagers have contimplated suicide? That over 1,500 actually commit suicide each year?

And people wonder why. Girls think they're 'fat' because they're over weight, and if they're not beautiful, like the air brushed models on the magazines, it's not worth living. Why would you help this attitude?

I am very disapointed that you have sold ANY issues with this article in it, especially on the front cover. I'm heavy set and proud of it. I'm proud to say that your magazines have not changed me. 200 lbs may seem like a lot, a whole lot if you have the weight of an anorexic person.

“If we could effectively kill the national pride and patriotism of just one generation, we will have won that country. By making readily available drugs of various kinds, by giving the teenager alcohol, by praising his wildness, by stimulating him with sexual literature, and by advertising to him and her (psycho political preparation), we can create the necessary attitude of chaos, idleness, and worthlessness…” –Soviet Union Communist Party Official

So what else is new? I've never seen a person that preaches more about why she uses food as a crutch. She can't keep it together at all if she can't find herself staying the same weight longer than 6 months at a time. A rold model like her will not help our obesity epidemic!

People shouldn't get angry because others talk about Oprah's weight. Oprah invites people into her life, therefore the subject is fair game. To think that somehow because she is Oprah she isn't prone to the weaknesses that all of us have is ridiculous. She should have learned a long time ago to NEVER say never again. Despite what people think, don't be surprised that Oprah may have a lot of issues in her life, some of which are holdovers from her childhood. Knowing something doesn't necessary translate into being able to do it. And for the record at her weight and height she is fat. She knows it, she doesn't need her fans to be in denial. Good health to you Oprah.

it doesn't matter anyway she probably did it to get some attention. Do you notice that when she looses weight her fans say "good job!" when she blows up like a balloon her fans say "way to be comfortable with who you are!" I'm thinking that instead of letting her self go on accident she did it because she hasn't been in the limelight like other celebs. get over it next year she'll be saying she lost 50lbs and then we're back to where we were.
